- D.B. Cooper (great analysis of D.B. Cooper): 1971 Unidentified (presumably-) American air-pirate that collected a ransom of USD$200,000 (in 2022 worth 1.5 million), parachuted out of the plane during a rainy night into a forest within Washington state, and has never been seen nor assuredly identified since. The only unsolved case of air piracy in commercial aviation history.
